CHESS

In 2016 our A team came first in NSW in this competition and represented NSW in the National Championships in Perth. Our top players have entered other inter-primary competitions and placed third in the 2016 competition at Knox Grammar. In addition, a keen group of Years K-2 students are exposed to the fundamentals of chess during their lunchtime on a weekly basis, with the Primary School Chess captains acting as mentors to these students.

In the High School, we currently field a junior team, which participates in the NSW Secondary Schools’ Competition. This club is expanding each year.

Boys and girls from Years K-6 train weekly at the Bunnerong High Performance Centre before school. Students of all abilities are exposed to a variety of traditional apparatus, as well as opportunities for trampolining, rope climbing and strength training. Extra training sessions are provided in the lead-up to inter-school competitions.

六合彩投注网’s results at the annual prestigious IPSHAA (Independent Primary School Heads’ Association of Australia) competition have been consistently outstanding.

Bunnerong has an excellent team of experienced coaches working together to improve the students’ gymnastic ability and to foster a love for the sport in a fun environment. Coaches keep up to date with current techniques by attending workshops run by Gymnastics Australia, Gymnastics NSW and the Department of Sport and Recreation. The coaches, many of whom are former elite gymnasts, also attend judging courses.
